On Saturday May 10, the children preparing for the first communion went for a trip to Marianka, a pilgrimage site nearby Bratislava, accompanied by father Tiziano and sister Eileen who prepared them for the event, and a few members of the choir. The children prayed in front of a Marian grotto, learned how to pray the rosary and sang the songs they will sing at the first communion next Sunday. They were joined by their parents for a picnic lunch and had their first confessions in the afternoon. And naturally, they also played (and the girls found a dead snake and scared the boys:)
